I bought a used 225 a couple of years ago, was in great condition, not a scratch on it, it sat in storage and I just got it out of storage and discovered a few cracks in the top frame, I'm thinking this was caused by the extreme cold (-16F) this past winter. Anyway, my thought is that I should replace before trying to set it up, my question is where can I order a replacement top and how difficult is this task going to be? I believe this is a marine land reef ready tank but i really don't know for sure. Any help would you can give would be great. Thank you

I have a 300 gallon that did the same thing. I'd also like to know where to find a replace top frame from. I emailed marineland but they didn't respond. I've heard people say to check with your local fish store to see if it's something they could source.

I started removing a cracked top from a 90G about a year ago and gave up after a day of making barely any progress.

My plan was to take the dimensions and photos to my local metal shop and have then do a powder coated metal replacement.

If you can't get a replacement top maybe it could be euro braced? I'm curious if the top edge is finished or rough. Even if it's rough though you could euro brace it and then hide the edge with a non structural trim
