So I will be getting a new 72 x 30 x 25 tank and it will about 230g. The tank will be bare bottom.
I had a 72g Bow Front 4' long so from that breakdown I have:
1 - Purple Tang
1 - Bi Color Blenny
2 - Pajama Cardinals
2 - Clowns
So I plan on those fish and I would like to add:
2 or 3 Yellow Tangs
1- Blue Throat Trigger
1 - Magnificent FoxFace
1 - Black Cap Basslet
1 - Red Scooter
some fire fish or other small schooling fish
I would also love to have some Wrasses but not sure on what types get along / wont get along etc. I will have a "Sandbox" in the tank for burying wrasse but at this point I like the Naoko Wrasse, Christmas, Leopard and maybe flasher? Again this is the part im unsure on
Also would love some ideas on "smaller" fish to break up the tank a bit

Firefish will play nice with eachother for a few months at most but then once they reach sexual maturity they will kill eachother untill you have a single firefish or a pair left.

With a sandbox wrasse may get aggressive to defend it so it you want to keep multiple wrasse I would recommend having a sand bed instead of bare bottom

Some nice smaller fish are
Flame hawk
Coral goby
Mollies
I've read damsels and anthias can be kept in a group but not sure
Cardinals but again I've read they can kill eachother

Thank you for the info. For the fire fish ive only ever kept single or pairs. But that makes sense.
The wrasses i was thinking a couple of the ones that make the mucus cocoons and then one or two sand burying and maybe having two "sandboxes" but thats one thing im not finding a bunch of info on

I like anthias but the feeding schedule for them is something id have to get an auto feeder for bc i could only do morning and night feedings or if i was away from the tank once a day or every other for tank sitter.

Check out the lubbocks wrasse. Doesnt cause problems and really nice looking fish. Wrasse compatibility I'm not sure about. If you like crustaceans be careful with wrasse selection.

I have a yellow tail blue damsel and regular blue. They add a lot of movement and are very colorful. I have 2 pajama cardinals and one pretty much keeps the other in a corner so I'd do more. My regular cardinal doesnt associate with the pajamas either.

Yeah thats one thing the R2R forums have been super helpful with. Some great info on wrasses etc. Ive been reading up a bit on some of the more friendly Damsels.

Lots of great fairy and flasher wrasses out there, I'm pretty partial to wrasses though.
Another small fish that adds lots of colors is the royal gramma, a group of those looks great.
