24 Cree LEDs on 6" x 9" HS

What kind of coverage will I get with this set up?

I'm trying to cover a 30 breeder set up as a peninsula. 36" x 18" x 12" tall. (Filters set up on the short side)

i have 24 on a 5.9 x 16 inch heat sink and it covers my 29 bio cube great the light actually washes off the sides a good bit. My 29 is 20 inches long (side to side) 17 inches wide (front to back) so i think this set up would work better for you with the proper lenses 80 degrees would work good. Mine has 65 degree lenses and like i said alot of wash off sides of tank. The light is hung 10 inches above the water level.

Maybe no lenses would work better since I only have 12" of depth?

That would be quite a bit of light on a 30 if you used optics. However, without them, you'll likely get quite a bit of over spill.
