Wow! Now have you sold it or are you getting a new tank?

Wow!!!!!! That is massive. Will be following along to see more pics that's amazing looking. Only time i've seen them that big is when i was scuba diving.

Sent from my DROID BIONIC

He lives at The pet shanty on rt 22 NJ. He's not sold just getting a sweet new home. The only time he was propagated was when he dropped a portion of himself. He species name is Sarcophyton.

ive seen one abotu that size locally here in kansas lol.. a local reefer at one time had a massive 1500gal inwall set up with a leather that stretch about 4 ft in diameter was amazing!! sadly he got out of it a few years back as his work slowed down wiht economy :( ill see if i can find pics of it!

sorry back to OP very nice leather!!!

Sarcophyton is it's Genus.... Was wondering the species. I had a Sarcophyton lobulatum that was that big, but that is somewhat common with that species. This looks like something different. I cant tell by the pics. Anyway, hope the move goes well. I would run lots of carbon in the new system until he settles in.

Not sure of the species name I now e was collected out of the Philippines. Here is a better pic with polyp extension.

With the polyps that close together, it may be Sarcophyton ehrenbergi or Sarcophyton tenuispiculatum. Not sure though, these corals can be rather variable in appearance and the only way you can tell for absolute sure is to cut a piece and look at the sclerites under a microscope. Beautiful piece though, I love toadstool leathers.

Wow, that leather is MASSIVE!
