240 gallon acrylic tank

I have a chance to buy a 240 tank. I was just wondering how much an acrylic tank would or should cost with a nice stand and lids only. It is in good condition no big scratches. Just want to see how much people would pay for one. Its 6ft x 2x2 I think.

With out any equipment i would say maybe 400 - 500 would be a good price.

When I buy acrylic tanks I like to see them to make sure they don't leak or bow out. Leaky acrylic is a easy fix with some weld-on 16 but if it bows, run away fast and don't look back. I would say 400-500 is a fair price.

That tank new was probably $2000 or so. The stand another $500. $500 would be a bargain for an acrylic 240.

Thickness of the tank matters a lot, sometimes a bowing tank can be corrected with adding a top brace, but if it is just too thin for the size It isn't worth much at all.

Standard 240 is 8 ft X 2 X 2 so you have enough length room to plan.
