Hello everyone. After being in the hobby for over a year (slightly more experienced). I have decided to do a nicer build on a Nanocube 24. going to have a 5gal sump (only size i believe that would fit in the stand).

I acquired this tank from a new friend i met over the weekend at one of the local fish stores. $40 and i couldnt pass up the deal. came with lights, pump, heater, and skimmer.

Today i was messing around with some dead fiji rock. trying to make a minimalist scape that was pleasing to the eye. here are some of the ones that i thought looked decent. suggestion and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

will keep this build updated as i progress. thanks for following.

Made my reef structure today using Nyos reef cement. its a great product. dry time is incredibly fast. i just think it should sit a minute before any type of load is appllied. I think i made a pretty cool structure that will be pleasing to the eye. The plan is to have all the rocks covered in zoas and palys. should be an interesting display build.

Here is how my setup will look. still have to drill back of the tank for drain and return. will post pics tomorrow of that process.

Nice! Following because I've thought of adding a sump to my 12g nano.

You inspired me to buy more dry rock structure pieces and redo my scape. I am torn between cursing you and thanking you.:ranger:

Reefers helpping reefers. Haha
Cool thing is my structure is made from live rock that I dipped in muriatic acid. Rock was free so I decided to play around with it

drilled my tank yesterday. free hand it using a 3/4 diamond hole bit. it was my first time and very nerve racking. i had a friend run a hose on the back of the tank while i drilled. no cracks but did get a scallop on 1 of them. going to start with piping today. just had to wait on pipe cutter. had to borrow one from my neighbor.

Nice for only free handed it :) btw, it may sound stupid but is there a ratio or some rule of how big the sump has to be according to the size of the main tank?

im actually not sure about this. i plan on trying to use a 2.5gal tank. because it was the only size that would fit in my cabinet. ill keep everyone updated though.

Nicely done on the dry scape rock work.

I had tp make the decision of dry rock or top dollar live rock and went with top dollar live rock that I should be receiving tomorrow and hope it's all its suppose tp be

Looks good! The rock is really cool and unique looking. What kind of corals are you planning?
