24g Nano Cube "Grungy" Set Up

Yea lepto are coooollll

If it doesn't get happy try Movin it down.

I agree. Live rock.

There is a bunch of crazy stuff going on inside it. Normal.

Ahhh. Now I see it.
Yea mine responded more to flow than light oddly.

About the same I'd call it a more med flow.

Total accident btw. I set it there rescaping.
Looked at it the next day and the sweepers were out.

I had to take a pic of the dottyback trying to murder the wrasse through the breeder box and the little dude following me with one eye. I think he's begging for help.

Found the wrasse an awesome new reef tank home!

Set a bottle trap to try and catch a big hairy crab. Caught two snails and my clingfish.

Good, bad, indifferent news updates today!

Finished my minor rescape and seems well so far. Stylo loves where it is now, but it has a little bleaching in one spot from not getting good light in previous placement. Am hoping it will recover as rest looks great and has awesome polyp extension. Lepto still looks okay but I've had to handle it way too much so crossing my fingers.

Finally caught my second crab (also two baby decorator crabs). Very happy as he had been doing some rearranging (including harassing that lepto) and was looking to be growing into a bad dude (pretty fuzzy purple with pointy black claws). I think that's all the really annoying hitchhikers except for a few curly cue and corynactis anemones (saw one tiny aiptasia a few weeks ago but it died). Definitely have a pistol shrimp but he doesn't seem to be doing much damage.

Nitrates are very stable these days and I've been able to cut back to weekly water changes with the addition of the mechanical removal with the filter floss. My clingfish eats directly out of the syringe now and it's the cutest thing ever and I luff him so much. [emoji24] Unfortunately the red tree sponge and the orange ruffled sponge have both developed a couple little white patches so I think they're on the way out--gonna replace with photosynthetic gorgonian.

Lights get here this week!!

New scape looks good.
For the sponge, you can try some vitamin c dosing, brightwell makes it if you dont want to diy. folks use it for their zoas. Also vinegar works. A tiny amount is fine. Some are using brewer's yeast as well. So dont give up on that guy yet.
Here's an old cool guy with some sponge facts.

At first he just ate a ton of pods but now he's eating meaty foods right out of the turkey baster. I've had him two months. I'll try and get a video tonight.

I don't really do fish much, more corals, my tank is pod central, mine were the ones with the yellow stripe on, male and 3 females.
I feed all sorts, my mandarins eat pellets, I think I might have starved them! :(
