24x48x12 frag tank new build

I purchased a used 24x48x12 frag tank $100. I have 3 Radion xr15s gen 4 on arms. Is that overkill? Should I run just 2 on a hanging rail a little higher?

If it’s a 4ft long tank, three would work.

Depends on what type of frags / corals you are keeping. 2 would be plenty for LPS and softies. You might be able to get by with 2 for acros in part of the tank if you mounted the lights higher and closer together, essentially giving you a higher par zone in the center of the tank for acros and lower on edges for lower light corals. Of course, perfectly fine to use all 3 lights on lower intensity settings.
