25 watt aqua ultraviolet pump

What size pump to use with this UV? I have a 100 gallon total volume mixed reef. I am looking at either the sicce 1.5 or 2.0 the 2.0 is 500 gph which I think is a little fast but I'm guessing the 1' head from the bottom of my sump to the UV will make the 2.0 about right. Any suggestions? What do you use?

I would do 2.0 if that is the light you’re going with...... but I would urge you to go bigger

I'll probably buy the 57 watt transformer and bulb. It's cheaper than upgrading the whole thing. Especially because I got the 25 as part of a package on some used equipment.

How does that work? I don’t think the 57w bulb is going to fit in the 25w sleeve


You can do what I did and just keep adding additional 25w units and plumbing them together

The 25 and 57 cases are the same size. The transformer bulb and quartz sleeve are bigger on the 57.
