250 and a 230 in same controller?

I currently have a 250 in my tank.

Can do add a 230 to the same controller or does it have to be another 250?

the advanced controllers can only operate what they are intended to operate.
So if you have the 150/250 controller then Two 150/250 model gyres can be operated
The plug / cord sizes are different on the different models so is the power requirements.
