So I have the opportunity to purchase a deep 250 (60" x 27" x 36") gallon tank for a pretty good price from a local tear down. I have some questions regarding stocking it later down the road. Is a 250 deep sufficient enough to house either a queen angel or emperor? I know some fish prefer long vs deep. They have always been my dream fish so I wanted to check to see if it would be a possibility with this new tank. Would one be better over the other?

My current tank stocking is: Yellow Tang, Purple Tang, pair of Ocellaris Clowns, and a Four Striped Damsel. So all of these guys would be moved over as well.

There is a great thread on fish stocking that might be worth reading or posting this question to. It gets a lot of attention and quick responses. Fish Stocking Thread

I've seen tanks where they've got the whole 'wall of rocks' thing going on, that doesn't leave any open swimming space. As long as you don't plan on that sort of system, I'd think one of the larger Angels would be OK in that tank. A friend has a dinner plate size Koran in a 180, with fairly minimal rockwork, and a fairly sparse fish population. Fish seems happy and healthy, even if the tank is a bit small for it.
