250 lb dry coral rock score

Recently acquired about 250 lbs of dead coral rock for about 200 bucks. How'd I do?

It was sitting outside for god knows how long, so...plan is to pressure wash, then bleach, rinse, bleach again, rinse, dechlorinate, then sun dry before adding some of it to a new 40b that I am plumbing into my main system, and to another 75g that someone gave to me. 40b will be home to my invasive RBTAs, and the 75g will probably be an experiment tank, where I chunk things into it, ala PaulB style.

Not bad! It does look a little dense but that’s without seeing it in person/feeling it.

Any thoughts on how to test for copper exposure? I was thinking of putting it all into a vat, letting it run with flow for about a month, then sending for an ICP test. Do you think that would be effective?

Not bad! It does look a little dense but that’s without seeing it in person/feeling it.

Some chunks are dense. Others are so light they feel like they might float.
