250 watt radiums for a 75 gallon

Will 250 watt radiums be too much for a 75 gallon, Has 175 Iwasakis now but I need to upgrade Ballast and bulbs. 20" tall bulbs will be about 8" off the water.

i ran 250w radiums on my 75g and they worked out great.

I'm running 2 250w radiums and 24 RB LEDs on my 75gal. I'm getting great growth but lost color from when I had 8 T5s

I think you have your answer from people with experience. I have always been a t5 guy myself, but I don't think this sounds overkill. Good luck and happy reefing!
