25g nuvo aquaforest

Starting a new ulns system and would like to start a conversation about the setup and progression if it. I am not new to reefing. Ive been the hobby for 10ish yrs. I sold my 210 mixed reef which most would consider a dream tank and went nano. The new aquarium is 25 gallons and will be a ulns system using all aqua forest products. Live stock will be all sps, a pair of clowns, and a clam.

Also thinking of dropping from my 250 mixed reef down to an AIO. Recently converted to Aquaforest and plan to continue in nano. Just beginning research. How did you come up with decisions about skimmer, ato, reactor? Forum references?

Aquaforest ulns calls for a reactor stacked with their zeolite,carbon, and gfo. Due to the mass amounts of probiotic bacteria basically their way of carbon dosing you need a large/powerful skimmer. The cad light pls50 was the strongest in its size category. Any ?s just ask ill be happy to answer to the best of my ability.

Can you generally explain the aquafprest program/products? My IM 25 comes tomorrow and I'm interested to understand the rationale of going all AF products.

Ok. First question, softies, lps, mixed, or sps only

Each type of system requires different products

Zoas and LPS mainly. My SPS will consist of a single setosa.

You only need probiotic salt for ulns sps system. All others can use their standard reef salt.

So use their reef salt. Dose bio s, pro bio s, and np pro. They are different strains of bacteria. 1 drop each day of each for every 25 gallons.

Do you recommend their standard salt in comparison to other brands? Running mainly LPS and Zoos, would you run any other products from them?

Honestly, unless your going full ulns i wouldnt bother with AF. Stick to red sea salt and products.
