25x coral growth rates???

Is anyone familiar with this work? The video is overly simplistic. Simply creating small frags does not, by itself, results in 25x growth rates. At least I have not seen that with my frags

On a positive note, this article presents some very interesting and counter-intuitive perspectives on successfully managing coral reefs!

I could see how it could be correct. I've noticed whenever I frag something, or bring a dying coral home, there's an acclimation period, stabilization period, and then growth period.
And then given communal effects of colonial organisms, and the laws of thermodynamics, you could very well postulate that a few polyps will have a better turn-around time than 100 polyps.

I've not done any logging, but it's probably worth researching.. I swear some don't seem to be affected, and some I thought were hardy have taken weeks. The fastest grower in my tank is a lime porite. I broke off part of the edge and put it on a plug, the sucker did absolutely nothing at all for 2 months? I was very surprised. This post made me think further on it.
