Been a busy week and got her cycling finally. Started out having to cut my wall to frame it for viewing from both sides. My study is now the tank room. Will also keep two 55 gallon barrels for water and keep one on an auto top off. She is sporting three Hydra 26’s for lighting Reef Octopus skimmer. Will get a calcium reactor in the future and went bare bottom. All construction work was done by me, myself and I, including the stand. Before anyone adds their thoughts on the rock work, it is exactly how I want it. Nearly 20” into the water column and a ton of holes and crevices for the wildlife. Can’t wait to start putting stuff in here!

I’ll post em as I go. I now have the dreaded wait. Did forget to mention I have two MP40’s and one MP60.

Your stand needs the top frame to be better supported as it is now the weight of the tank will be held by the screws. Also the pressure treated 4x4’s usually have a very high moisture content and may twist and shrink as they dry.

Was thinking the same. One of my early stand efforts was with 4x4's - had all sorts of twisting problems. Much better to do dual or even triple sistered 2x4's. Curious why you built the stand deeper than the tank? Ran a ML 265 for a while; it's a nice tank.

Second and third what @ca1ore and @Apotack said. You need to brace the upper to lower outside frame at each of the 4 x 4 studs. 2x4 will probably work or whatever your base upper and lower frame is. But in either case that is what is necessary to hold the weight. The 4x4's won't be enough.

Aside from that looking good.
