Hopefully, a good deal on a 265 gallon tank. Safe to do? I mean I'll look for cracks, chips and caulking. I assume that's about all anyone can do,correct?

I wouldn't purchase a used tank without seeing it completely full first.

Depending on age, I wouldnt even consider a used tank.

Also important is where it was stored.

Where was the tank stored, how old is it, any leaks or issues in the past with it? I usually am pretty sketched out when it comes to used tanks due to you never know how they were stored or used

Hey bud, I think I'm going to need more explanation to help with this question. You're looking at a used tank? Is this one you already found?
Haven't. Bought it yet. From the pics,it looks like it's been sitting for a while . Dirty /dusty. It's listed on f.b. I hope this helps you. Any other info you need? Thanks for helping me.

It's dirt and dusty, best I can tell you
It's in a garage.

If they are willing, I'd want to see it filled before purchasing.

Check the silicone seams thoroughly for any separations, check the edges of the glass for cracks or chips, and ask to see it full of water.

They won't fill it. But it's a tank, cabinet, sump and pump for 350.00. Not sure if that changes any thoughts.

I'd be a bit weary. If it were me I'd ask if I could use their hose to fill it up myself and will purchase if it's not leaking and will drain it either way.

I'll do that. I'll let you know as well
Thanks.
