265 reboot, Cross braces and seals

Drained the 265 and its getting rebooted, and moved to a different room. The corner overflows are coming out, and going with a reef savvy ghost overflow. The cross braces have always bothered me and made lighting a pain. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to redo the cross braces or go with glass cross braces like the older euro style tanks. The other thing I noticed scrubbing the glass was the edges of the silicone in the corners is loose and starting to lift up, Never had any leaks or anything, just wondering if there is anything I should do about this, lay a bead over the older stuff or just trim it, or leave it alone.

If you are going to reseal the corners, remove the old silicon before laying down new. It's not a terribly hard job just make sure to take your time and mask off everything.
