270 Built, couple teaser pics up front.

I picked up a used Miracles rimless 270 a couple months ago and got it rolling about 8 weeks ago. It’s lit with 2x 60” XHO Blues, 3x250 watt Radiums in Lumenbright (Mini, I think) reflectors, and a 3 led strand from my LSM. Circulation is a Sicce ADV 10.0 on the return, 2x Tunze 6255’s and 2x Tunze 6150’s. Filtration is a Bashsea 8-30 skimmer, and I will soon have a Clearwater ATS running as well with the intent of using the ATS exclusively…maybe. I’m reluctant to leave behind the gas exchange it provides and am not positive what I’ll end up doing.
I went a travertine bottom in hopes of ease of frag placement, removal, and fragging. It’s already growing coralline, and a bit of the uglies…

Anyhow, here’s a few amateur pics. Don’t mind the gigas in a soup bowl. It was screwing around and I’m sending a message.

Clam chowder, more likely New England than Manhattan.

Though I am waiting for a proper clam den to arrive. Bare bottom problems. ‍ We’ll see how long it takes for the gigas to outgrow it.
