Some of you might know be by another name on the other forums. Figured i would like to take part of this forum as well. Decided posting my build thread here would be a good way to do that.

Ill post a brief synopsis of sorts to catch you guys up with the thread from the other forum to help fill in the blanks.

Couple pics of the old 80 Gal

This is the basic concept i was going for (which i changed up a bit, more on that later) as well as a sketch up of the sump i wanted to build.

Picked these guys up at a steal a couple weeks ago. One unfortunately jumped ship and went tile surfing. Thankfully it was one of the females so i still have a male and a female.

Pic of the anemone when i placed it its final location in the new tank. That bommie was made with a cup shaped rock at the top specifically for the anemone

And some coral shots of some of the coral and fish i have so far. Let the stocking begin!

Made the adjacent closet into a small fish/wet room.

Thats all for now. From here on in i will update in real time. :)

Absolutely get it. I'd given up on that favia anyway:tongue:

LOL, no i mean I dont get it. Meaning i dont get whats so funny.

But, ok, if you dont want a piece of the favia ill have to find someone else who wants it. I have one for you and eddie. a part of it broke off when i was putting it in the tank.

To get this back on track, nem looks great! What made you choose this particular species? I've been contemplating a nem, but worried about wandering.

Its my fav in regards to color. Something about those green tentacles and the dark base (purple or maroon is my favorite). Also, it does not wander as much as some think. I did some research and followed a couple peoples threads and for Het. Mag. they will look for highest light and highest flow. Thats why i made a pedestal for it right under the LEDs and in front of my return nozzles. The WP25s also give a strong wave/rocking motion to the entire tank as well. Hasnt budged since i placed it in that spot. Hoping it stays that way. Usually they wont go "down" so placing it at the top of the rockwork helps. Also its important for it to not feel the side of your tank or other rocks higher up, as it will try to migrate there to get up higher.

I really do love the set up! I want to go back to a bigger tank so i can fabricate my own high end aluminum tank stand, light rack and get it all powdercoated so it looks like a car paint job on the stand and just have an all around bad a** tank and fill it with nothing but sticks! But i love your set up!
