Just got the sump and his thing is an awesome nano sump! Clean, well organized, and just visually pleasing! After throwing it under the tank, I am realizing that I'll have enough room in the stand for my liter size b-ionic bottles so I'm going to need to find another use for the ato chamber - in my opinion, the chamber is too small to utilize for a water reservoir being only 3 liters (.8 gallons). Also, I'm going to remove the filter sock and use that chamber for macro.

Looks really great! I love that stand. Mine's white too. I have the 60g Deep Blue currently in construction stage, too. Would love some pics of your plumbing when you get there.

So I have decided on how to utilize my ATO water reservoir, thankfully. I'm going to drill 5-7 1" vertical strips between the pump chamber and ATO chamber and use the ATO chamber as my pump chamber. This will now allow me to use the original pump chamber for macro algae, miracle mud (if I choose that route), and some heavily seeded live rock. I'll post pics after I have drilled the new pump chamber.

Any advice on drilling?

Good idea. Drill carefully and slowly to pervent cracking. If its made of the plastic i think it is a Dremel with a good bit should work well. Also alternating will void all warranties on your entire sump. Just something to think about.

It is made of acrylic, so I think the dremel would work. I'm aware that altering it would void the warranty but I don't want the ATO to go unused

Get a drill with a clutch turn the clutch all the way down and slowly drill with a new hole drill bit.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by clutch.

Most drills have numbers on the neck of the drill, the lower the number the less torque.

Minor update:

I'm having a buddy of mine drill my sump, connecting the ATO water chamber to the pump chamber. This will allow me to utilize the entire sump and not leave the ATO chamber vacant.

Also, my dosing pump and dosing pump bracket arrived today. Went with the Jabeo DP4. The bracket is pretty high up but thankfully it'll be out of the way.

I'm painting the back of my tank black but am having some issues getting the paint to stick towards the bottom. Every time I paint the bottom, next to the rim, it just repels away and won't stick. Any advice on this?

I just layered on another layer and I'm thinking that I'll razor blade off the bottom 3" or so and clean it off again with rubbing alcohol. Any thoughts?

My plumbing will be fairly simple, thankfully. I'm going to run tubing and not pvc, as originally planned. I'll post pictures when it is all plumbed up.

How so? My pump is going to be directly below the return bulkhead. There won't be any dips in tubing or anything of this nature.

But pretty much the surface area on pvc is less so more flow and to be honest if it's a straight run I would do pvc but it's ur tank.
I just know I had switched from tubing to pvc and noticed a big difference
