Not new to reef tanks but this route will be a first so i figured this would be the place to put it.

The goal: JBJ 28 bare bottom for mostly zoas maybe some LPS.

My plan for the setup is an AI Prime 16 for lighting.

Filtration: going to make just a filter pad holder, new pad twice a week. Then I'll use marine pure in some of the space in the back. As much as i can without causing flow issues. An AquaMaxx 1.5 skimmer, and a small carbon reactor for ROX 0.8 and some GFO if needed. UV on standby if needed. These will be my main filtration but will dose carbon with a dosing pump as well. Obviously monitoring an adjusting as needed.

Question is would this filtration solution get the job done? Kind of going for a space saving and low maintenance solution.

IMHO, maybe even a bit over the top for a 28g system. Water changes should be so easy to keep water in good shape.
