My 280 is coming in a few weeks 72x30x30 euro braced all low iron . I have a xl synergy reef overflow with 3 1.5" drains (1 being emergency .

I have a 220 gallon sump i build in basement . My return pump needs to be internal. I was gonna go with the vectra l1 but not sure it will be enough power i have a jebao 20000 sine wave pump thats been going strong for a year running 3 tanks and a uv . 1 tank is up stairs . So i know that would be enough if i just used it for the 280 but i want something a little more reliable .

Also i was gonna run 3/4 returns . Or 1" im not sure with size . Id like to do 1" just not sure if head hight will loose alot of power pumping up 1"

My other question is im gonna make a hood and run 4 radion g4 pro and 4 60" t5 bulbs in it i want to lag bolt the hood to the wall . But i would like to put 2 pistons on it kinda like the trunk of a car or suv . So if i need more room i can lift it up . Has anyone done this .. any pics would be great or a idea of what pistons to use or how to figure out what ones to use.

Has the jebao given you any reason to believe it won’t be reliable?

Not at all im running 2 on my other systems honestly everyone gives me **** for useing them but there cheep and work mint and only pull 100-150v

Agreed- I have a dcp 18000 pushing 1200 gph up 19 feet of head. It cost $130 and it’s currently pulling 102w.

Why not just get another jebao then?

I may get one i have 2 18000 going and im not to impressed with them the 20000 i have going is a beast tho

I also run a jebao dcp 6500 on my 55 gallon tank and has given me no trouble. If you are not sure the one pump will be enough you could always run 2 plumbed seperate running separate return lines. Plum it with the bigger return piping, you create head pressure by running anything smaller than the outlet size of the pump.

I have Jeabo pumps running as my needle wheel pumps on my skimmer. I have only had a couple minor issues and these are older model pumps. As far as the 20000 goes it looks like a great pump and for the price I would just get a couple of spares to have on hand.
