i have had my setup for almost 2 years now and I finally got the hang of have a smaller tank. Here's some pictures. Please Do Not point out how bad it is to have a tang in my setup. I have experience with keeping them happy and healthy in small systems like this.

Soon I will be adding a Aquatic Life 115 Mini Internal Protein Skimmer/Filter, 30-Gallon. Current filter is a canister filter along with the stock filter that came with my system.

Great so it sounds like I made the right choice on the skimmer for this setup.

Anyone know how to adjust the skimmer so water doesn't fill the cup all the time. Which way should I turn the black nob?

You will have to move it up. The intake is at the level of the bottom of the cup. I'm using a magnet.
