I picked up this cube at a garage sale last summer and thought I would give the reef setup a try. I had been to a couple of good marine stores around the south subs of Chicago and liked the way their display tanks look. I like that it seems as if everything in the tank needs to be alive (rocks, gravel, cleaners, natural type light). 20 years ago I had salt tanks, I had a 90 gal chrome framed tank that housed a black lion, a sea robin, and a green wolf eel. It had under gravels with 4 power heads and a Magnum canister filter. The light was fluorescent and when the coral in the tank turned green I bleached it, rinsed it twice and stuck it back in the tank. Pretty simple. Now I am 2 months into this new tank and I couldn't be less prepared knowledge wise. Laugh it up! So any advice would be welcome. I bought these little pieces of live rock at a lfs could anybody let me know are these Kenya tree? I got these mushrooms there too I have a Marine Land led with the timer built in set to the default times.
