I am getting ready to make the jump into setting up a 29 gallon mixed reef tank. I will be starting it off with dead rock, live sand, and a nano skimmer in the display. I have an old aquaclear sitting around that I might use to run chemipure, but that part is undecided. It will be mostly LPS with a few SPS and maybe a softie or two. It will have no sump, and I can't go any bigger on volume due to apartment size restrictions. I am looking for some advice on what to stock, but I already have a good idea of what I want.

Ocellaris Clown Pair
Neon Blue Goby
Flame Angelfish
Coral Banded or Skunk Shrimp
Besides these I would like one other smallish fish like a cardinal fish, firefish, or royal gramma.
I am quite aware that flames nip, but I am willing to risk it.

Any advice you all have I would be happy to hear.

It's been my experience that over time Dwarf Angels need more room or else their coral/clam picking behaviors and sometime aggression lead them to be removed from the tank. I have had a couple 29-28 gallon tanks. Three to four smaller fish is a nice balance bio-load wise.

I would replace the Angel with the Dart fish (Fire fish) and the Royal Gramma.
