I have had this system up and running for 2 years now. It has a canister filter along with the stock one and a portion skimmer. I keep the salinity around 1.023-1.026 the temp I have always had a problem with sits at 80-84 degrees. I have taken the hood off my bio cube to make room for the simmer and a new light. For all those two years I was running LED lights and wasn't seeing much coral growth. So I decided to switch to a T5 aquatic life light. They have been on the tank for 5 weeks now with a mesh screen to dim the light intensity down. I was wondering when is a good time to remove that so full light can reach the corals. Another thing does anyone else have a problem with some corals acting all sad when all the others are fine?

Is it the 4 bulb version? If so, I run the same light. I didn't use any screen, as I went from LED to T5 also. I would say just monitor it after removing, but I think you should be fine to remove it now.

Yes it is the 4 bulb version. I am going to go ahead and remove the screen and like you said I will keep my eye on how stuff does.
