I think that varies. A lot of people have ways that work for them.

I personally do 20% twice a week on my 8G nano. Some say thats perfect, some say thats over board. Currently its what works well for me. However I will probably get sick of it eventually.


On a 29G I would say 10-20% every 2 weeks would be good. It all depends what works best for you.

Recently I went to a frag swap were the guy told me he does 1 water change a year... His tanks seem to be beautiful. I don't suggest this approach but its just to give you an idea.

normally, but it can very. Depends on the condition/bacteria level of the rock, sand & water.
