29 vs 40 Breeder for a simple salt setup?

I can suggest the reef octopus bh1000 for a HOB skimmer. I've had two of them now (running one currently on my 29g) and they work well IMO

I may have to reconsider as the area with our living room setup with the 40B vs 29 width with a HOB on back since canisters aren't recommended.

I've been reconsidering freshwater but just so boring after salt. Even if I do 2 clowns and a goby with a shrimp or crab I'd be happy and easy 5 g water changes.

I like that stand if I go 29

I would love to put it in this nook where the builder made for most likely old TVs. I'm sure it would be more trouble that worth cutting out the floor to slab. Not sure what's under since raised and may be sketchy.

Stand opinions, found a used canopy and stand but I hear really good reviews on the aquatic fundamentals black from petco. My tank is 36x18x16.

CL find is 38Wx20Dx30t, said it's from a 60 but I would need to paint and not even sure if canopy would fit and I can built one cheap. Do like the double doors, tank leaks so I'd have to trash that but said stand is solid for $60

These have really great feedback online and YouTube and wouldn't have to hassle paint for around $100 with 1 door [emoji848]

Tanks are very easy to reseal, you can fix the leaky tank with $10 and a half hour. Use a razor blade to scrape off all of the old silicone. Then pour rubbing alcohol over where all the old stuff was. Once all the residue is gone use a vacuum to get rid of all the silicone sitting on the bottom. Then use 100% silicone (GE 1 is what I use) and put it all along the edges and smear it with your finger a bit.

So I got the green light from the fiancée, she mentioned she wish we could set one up now and have out of the way so I suggested the entry way nook and she said that works [emoji1307][emoji1303] prob a clown, crab and goby tank along with maybe a flame or another fish later. Not heavily stocked.

I saw dr foster and smith has $50 gift card if I spend $125 so that would the the aquatic fundamentals stand purchase haha.

Plan now, let me know any thoughts :

Aquaclear 70 for surface agitation and options $50

Live/dry sand mix

2-koralia 550 Powerheads $40

Eheim heater 125/150? Stays warm here in northern cali. Ideally run 2-125s $30

Current USA Orbit Marine Aquarium LED Light $139

Bucket O' salt

You don't need the aquaclear if you want to save some money :)
Just point one of the powerheads up a bit and it will do the same thing. Sounds good, I have no experience with the Current USA fixture though. I looked it up and it seems cool but not sure how strong it is
