I took all water except what was spilt maybe 2-3 cups? I tested everything the ph was 8.0 I did a water change of about 20% with RO DI water from LFS. So far no spikes and water test look good.

Thank you, I had a 155g but it's been about 7 years ago, a lot has changed. My two boys love the fish and come in every day and look for the shrimp.

I went and got a few cuc today. Water is still looking good. Not sure I'm going to be happy with the stock skimmer.

Is it the little Oceanic Biocube skimmer? I don't have a bio-cube...I have a 12 gallon nanocube, but I do have that skimmer.

It certainly isn't the best, but you may want to look at the Aqua Euro nano skimmer that are made with needle wheel pumps instead of being air pump driven. Very affordable and will more than likely do much better.

I have the stock skimmer as well but got it used and it didn't have a pump. I had an old walmart special dual output 3w airpump laying around, so i used a T to couple the 2 outputs together, then an inline valve to adjust the airflow, and a normal sized coralife wood airstone. This must be a tremendous improvement for this skimmer because I am getting dark skimmate similar to my SWC 160 cone skimmer, and not the light green skimmate i see in pics of this skimmer.

I'm def going to have to look in to that. I need something a little better.

Ok so i tested every thing and here is what it looks like. The tank has been up for almost a week after the move. What do you think?
