I have a empty canister filter and a whisper filter which was on my 10 gallon to seed the cycle. The canister is there more for flow.

Tested parameters today they are ph 7.4-7.8?, ammonia .25-.50, nitrite 2-5 and nitrate 20-40

Getting closer to being cycled. You have any stocking plans yet?

Tail spot Blenny two designer clowns and a tiger watchman goby. So far.
For coral I have fire and ice zoas. A chalice. Goniastrea. An echinata rescue don't know if it'll survive. Gsp. Sympodiums. Darth maul palys. And an orange lobo. Once the tank is stable and cycled ill be moving it over.

do you have a sump on this tank? on my 29 gallon i have a 15 long for a sump, and a reef octopus nwb 110 for a skimmer. i started sumpless with a hob skimmer, a coralife ss 65. it was a bad idea, microbubbles all over the display and loud. my reef octopus is silent and with the sump and bubble traps no microbubbles in my display.

No but I'm gonna try and do a side by side sump. If not I'm just gonna get a hob aquafuge2. I plan on getting the reef octopus bh1000

That is how my parameters always look with the same test kit, minus the nitrates. It used to bug me that amm test looks kinda green but I've never had issues.
