I’ve had good luck with ASD in the past with a doa order. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.It might not be the sellers fault but it's definitely the sellers responsibility. Using the term arive alive only to then exclude shipping delays to which the seller holds the keys is simply paradox. It's called ACCOUNTABILITY which is usually instilled at a very young age. Unfortunately some missed that part for reasons only they truly know or have yet to figure out.
I think sellers who really don't want to take responsibility for shipping should have a separate link where the buyer can pick a day and pay for it themselves which in all honesty puts the contract between the carrier and the buyer. PROBLEM SOLVEDGuess we'll have to agree to disagree.
EDIT This is aquasd policy so I would expect them to honor it. The delay is not mechanical or weather related. The OP will loose on the shipping but not the corals. Many policies I've seen state they are not responsible for shipping delays period so aquasd has a pretty generous policy IMO
We do not give refunds. We send replacements and/or give store credit on future orders. We do not cover the shipping costs on replacements
- Aqua SD cannot be held responsible for mechanical or weather delays by shipping company
Not sure why you say the seller is shady if they don't honor DOA because of shipping delays. Not the sellers fault and is most likely mentioned in their policy. I will no longer order anything alive because these delays are becoming the norm. I'll order through my lfs and let them take the risk. They'll even let me pick stuff up still bagged.
