I don't know, because I've always ran a two-stage.

But that's what the second stage is intended to do.

Mine is dual chanber and one has media ( Reborn) and the other has reborn/remag combination.

How low of a ph do you have?
If you tune your reactor it will not affect ph at all.
I have been running my single chamber for 10 months now with no effect on ph.

pH inside my main rubble chamber is 6.7, effluent is about 7.1 ..... so, second chamber does help. BUT, whether this makes any difference to the overall system pH is less clear. I find the second chamber more useful in taking advantage of any residual dissolving power for that last little bit of minerals.
