I just came home & found one of my clownfish death… :’(
It’s the second unexplainable death in my tank & i just don’t get what is happening.

I started my 20g tank about 9 weeks ago & stocked it with fish 3 weeks ago, i started with a small gobie and a week after that i added a couple of small clownfish. 2 weeks ago i came home to a death goby, wich showed no signs of illness & ate the day before! but looked a little bit munched on, so suspected the clownfish.

Now 2 weeks later i found one of my clownfish dead between a small crevice between the rocks… :’( im lost…. i added pictures. Could somoene help me find an explaination?
It also ate yesterday!!!

I’m very scared for my last clownfish.

My values are perfect, no nitrite, no ammonia & very low phosphates, i test those every week.

Hard to diagnose post mortem and out of water. Belly looks sunken.

QT new fish is highly recommended.

Probably that it wasn't eating as well as you thought and indicates it was sick or unhealthy.
Now I hope i don’t feed too little food… :/
I give them a small piece of artemia or mysis & a pinch of pellets a day..

General guideline is feed as much as they will eat in a few minutes. Fat fish are happy fish in my opinion!

If they are eating it, it's not going to waste. If it there is a bunch of excess food not getting eaten, you fed too much.
