So i bought a little aquatics 50gpd unit 2 months ago knowing its the best but thinking it could get me by maybe 6 to 8 months so i can get a proper unit. I noticed when i flushed the filters it was 3ppm but settled to 2ppm which annoyed me but dang close to 0. Since i have built two tanks with all dry rock and sand. Today i did phos checks and then decided to check my rodi water and it came out as .12 ppm phos. So obviously the rodi isnt working adding to my phos.

My question is, will a better brand bigger rodi work to get rid of that extra ppm? Should i get the one with two DI membranes?

What do you use to test phosphate?

Also, do you have a copy of your city water report? :)

I assume you mean 2 DI canisters for the finishing. I was just replenishing my 4 stage as it had been a while and got into the details again. Note there is 2 different types of DI resin that you can use. BRS explains it well and sells both - cation and anion and they have a blend called mixed bed. one works for to filter positve or negative ions. So you want to check that first.

No water report but i can get one. I know my area is high in something cause all the water softner quotes mentioned needing a better one for my area.

I used a hanna ulr phos checked

Great info i will be checking this out.

I do have a RO unit for growing called hydrologic stealth 150. I believe i can add canisters inline of that one.
Ill be checking my water tests from city too

here is the test from 2022 on their site. im going to ask for a 2023 and about the lead.

i dont see phosphate so maybe i need to get a private test
