Hey all.. looking for recommendations for flow in my current build. Millepora and acropora heavy. Currently.. im debating 1 small gyre in the rear middle, facing forward and top/middle.. that gyre would be working between 2 nero3's. The neros would be offset facing one another, across the front. Mounted on the sides.

What would you do?

Here is the current scape:

Input? I enjoyed my two xf250s in a 6ft tank from my last build. But theyll be far too much for a 50g cube. Whacha thinkin? Experience? Pics of sps forest cubes? Share please :)

Looks like your current plan will be more that enough flow. Any reason you aren't just using 2 smaller gyres?

Merely reaching to anyone who has had long term success with sps cubes and flow patterns. I am debating 2 smaller mxspect gyres. But honestly dual RFG's for the return and lower corner/back mounted mp10qdw or nero3s pointed forward i feel might be all i need.

What did you end going with? I just had a vortech break and I’m also thinking about changing things around.

My build is in progress. Sadly maxspect doesnt make the advanced controller with smaller models. Like i need. So i am up in the air. Need to research smaller gyres, that i can program the tides into. On a daily schedule that is programmable, and changes throughout the day.

Gyre are too static for me. Tunze 6095 in a 60g 2x2x2 cube with SPS.
I want the finite control and daily schedule. Cant achieve my flow goals without a proper controller and wave maker. I plan to program a 6hr ramp up and down, 4 times a day, shifting the dominant flow from side to side.

I am going to duplicate the tides. On a 24hr schedule.

any updates? succeses/failures/dead ends? im in a similar spot and doing research
