What are you using to clean your 3/4" glass aquariums?

I use a MagFloat every day to get off as much new algae as I can... Whenever I do a water change I go at it with a razor blade or pad of filter floss and really work on making it spotless.

You might want to look at the Algae Free Magnet Cleaners. I think the "Great White" is designed for 3/4" to 1" glass. They are not cheap - but neither was that tank. Be careful though. These are made with very strong magnets. Since you have Starphire Glass, I would personally not use a razor blade. Starphire scratches easier than regular glass. I would use plastic blades or a credit card for tough spots of coralline algae. I would also recommend not leaving the magnet in the water between cleanings. Stuff can settle in between the magnets and you can easily scratch the glass. I find that it is easier to take a couple of minutes each day to run the magnet. You won't get any tough to remove spots that way. I also remove the magnets after each use and wash the cleaning side under running water. I also replace the felt & Velcro cleaning pads (you can buy replacements for the Algae Free magnets) several times a year. You have quite an investment there. A little care with cleaning the glass can keep it looking awesome for years. It really sucks to have scratches on a viewing pane of glass.

Thanks Fin. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions.

If you play it safe around the sand bed, then get "The Flipper Max". :)

And yes I have Starfire glass and just make sure the sand does not get on the pad side.
The razor side has never scratched the glass.
