Hey all,
I had 3 Lyretail anthias and 1 convict Tang in a 20G QT tank. All 4 fish were smallish but not tiny.
The tank has a 100w heater, small powerhead and a sponge filter. The filter was cycled from my main tank and I used Seachem Stability to guarantee I had some biofilter.
They went into QT for 3 days and I had them eating flake and frozen no problem. I then did a 3 week CP treatment, keeping an eye on ammonia and feeding them 2-3 times a day. I kept nori in the tank for the tang 3-4 days a week.
The first Anthia died on the last day (21) of the CP treatment, just laying on the bottom dead. The second was hiding and acting strange and then died 24hrs later. That was 2 weeks ago today. Since it was the last day of the CP treatment anyways, I did a 30% water change, added a bag of carbon and dosed some Prime and Stability to make sure there wasn't any spikes from the two dead fish.
The last anthia was fine, active and eating, since the other two died. I did two treatments of Prazipro after making sure that the remaining fish were healthy. Today (last day of the 2nd Prazi treatment), the last anthia was hiding and acting skittish and died sometime around 3pm.
None of the fish that died had any visible signs of disease or damage. The gills looked normal to my eyes and I couldn't see any spots or lesions on their bodies. They all seemed to be eating and they had normal belly's when they died, no visible skeleton or shrinking around the skull. Here's a couple of pictures I took of the anthia that died today.

Any ideas what happened or what I did wrong? This really rankles. I originally was going to have a shoal of 6 Dispar Anthias but the LFS only had 5, one jumped and died behind the tank and another developed some severe deformities and lymphocystis. The 3 lyretails were gonna be replacements for the dispar's that didn't make it.
