Good morning everyone. I have 3 Hemycianea and 1 Hexatenia in my 60"x20"x20" (100 gallon) aquarium... I added 3 more Hemycianea and they were massacred by the first 3... Now... Since even 3 are fine for me (I just wanted to increase the number and give more color and movement to the aquarium) I wanted to ask you: will every small catch of another species be chased and disturbed until exhaustion, or will the other species be tolerated and ignore? Thank you

Damsels are extremely territorial and aggressive to other fish that enter its territory, if added to your tank first they will have claimed the tank for themselves. They will likely attack most fish their size or smaller that are added to the tank.

It's going to depend on what you want to add.

Bangaii cardinal, hawkfish, orchid dottyback, dwarf angel, watchman goby, algae blenny, fang blenny, for example, would all likely be fine.

It also depends on rockwork and coral growth to give hiding places and break up lines of sight.

Chrysiptera damsels are pretty darn wimpy in my experience.
