I’m considering doing a 3-day blackout to help control my hair algae problem on its last leg.
I left my lights off all day yesterday only letting ambient light get in and it already appears to have helped. If I cover them with towels or go the 3 days I’ve read the pH will drop due to the algae stopping producing O2. If I add an air tube or move my power head to the surface to draw in more O2 into the water would that help with the pH dip?
also I have a biocube 32 and the way the water filters is it falls in the back and trickles. Is that enough aeration?
thank you!
