3 days darkness period (pls read)

So recently tonight I have begun the 3 days of darkness trial. I have hope that this works. I am currently battling dinos (which is a relief because I was dealing with cyano for a long period of time). I had previously dosed a large overkill quantity of Chemi clean after 2 harsh treatments. Now here we are.

The steps I’ve taken are:
Lights out 3 days
Dosed half a medium bottle of dr tims bacteria
Put air stone on

Testing levels
Phosphate: 0.03 ppm
Alkalinity: 9.0 dKH
Nitrate: 3.71 ppm

Why not the whole bottle of Dr Tim's?

You know ambient light counts as well. I'd wrapped your tank with a black plastic tarp
