Just got some live rock in today and I'm curious about a few of the inhabitants. Also got a former inhabitant that looks cool but makes me curious lol. First up:

Appears to be some kind of SPS that was growing on my rock. It's still got some color so I am wondering if you can tell if its alive or not from this pic. I did try blowing some Coral Frenzy nearby as the tank was due for a reeding anyway but got no response. Dead or because they've only been in the tank a few hours?

Is this white thing in the middle some kind of sponge? It looks like a miniature mountain range.

I have an idea on this one but I wanted to make sure. I noticed as I was taking this pic that there are feathery things coming out the other end, so I think this is a picture of the other end of a feather duster! It was among the rubble at the bottom of the tank, and I was certain it was just a dead fireworm but I put it in anyway hoping it would revive. The thing is overall smaller than my pinky nail so I don't think I'm getting a better picture than this with my phone unfortunately. After taking this picture I moved it so the tail end of the worm here was more protected and pointed towards a hole. I don't know if he'll grow a new shell down below or what as I've never had one before but I did want to confirm identity.

Finally there is this feature. I know it's all dead. But I am curious what could have made those big stony lumps among the coral.

And if anyones curious it came from Florida Gulf. Not the most covered rock I've seen but the cheapest by half, and not too bad covered.

Made them all visible for you hopefully.
