This is what I built to run my tank upstairs. Mind the mess I am still building, adjusting. Just added a predator tank in the back. So I've had a lot of help keeping my water stable

Nice setup, especially only being 3 months old. Love the trigger.

What are you running for lights?

When I had meet other fellow reefer addicts at there homes for club gatherings,I always looked to see how they had ran the plumbing . I wanted to know more about the sump setup . I would ask why they used what they used ,and why did they use it ?

Would you share what your doing ?

Ok I'm running a reef Flo pump. 1 1/2 pipe upstairs to tank. One inch drain and a one inch emergency. Through 3, 4 inch socks. Then into my reef octopus 200ss Skimmer. On my return I have a 2 inch Flo meter to my Apex. On the return it tees off and goes to my media, carbon and gfo tumbles. It also diverts to my refuguim that I loved so much growing kato and copepods that I added a 40 gallon tank for more room. My kessil ap700 covers a 4x2x2 area with really good results imo. This is my first tank so I am still learning.

This is the predator tank I added. Now my 120 drains into 125 then into sump

The sump is from Geo's reef. I met him at reef-a-palooza this year while I was getting ideas to build. I was impressed with the build quality and thought it was a great place to start. I'm a plumber by trade so as I've learned and built and rebuilt and rebuilt I think I would build my own sump next time. I am still very happy with the sump it's a well thought out piece of equipment that solid. Support has been fantastic with all my questions

Holy cow that's a big hermit!

Any ideas on what you want in that tank other than the puffer?

That's the smaller of the 2 hermits. The puffer was a sad fish in a closing store so I took him home. I usually don't have a plan. When I see something that I have to have I make something work. So no plans on another fish yet. Plus I really need to slow down and let my bacteria catch up to the bio load

Just picked up a baby porcupine puffer. I always loved these guys, they just always look happy and it makes me smile. Big puffer is being very nice allowing him to eat the scraps
