3 part dosing. will alk fall out of solution?

I am dosing the 3 part and alkalinity slowly creeps up. If i do not mechanically agitate the alkalinity jug will the alk. settle to the bottom of the container and become more concentrated?

Do you prepare the 3 parts or buy it? The Alk or solution 2 is saturated solution so it can precipitate out in lower temperature. Mine does a bit too. How much does it change the Alk reading?

I buy the prepared 3 part and keep the jugs right next to the sump so i am hoping that maintains enough temp. to keep the solution from precipitating out. I try to to maintain an alk of 8.0 but it will climb to about 10.0 after two weeks. I guess the other thing i should look into is how well is my dosing pump calibrated.

I will possibly doubt the pump. I have never seen any report for their readymade component 2 precipitation. Did you actually see any precipitation in the container?

just checked, no visible precipitation.

I am dosing equal amounts of each solution and calcium gets depleted as alkalinity rises. do you think it would cause any issues if i dosed uneven amounts?

Ok, then my guess will be the pump. I will first start with you dosing pump calibration before doing anything else. Which doser you use and when did you last calibrated?

I am using a bubble magus bmt01 and i have not calibrated it since i have had it.

yeah it is as we suspected. the bubble magus is a out of calibration. and apparently there is no way to calibrate it. oh well

Your tank is possibly using more calcium than alk
