3 preset settings confusing.

Hi all,

I'm 2 years in and lights still confuse me.

I've got fluval 3.0 marine lights.
As I've said I don't understand lights good enough to apply my own settings.
There's 3 preset setting that fluval supply.
Deep sea glow
Sunny reef
Colour boost.

I'm currently using colour boost but I'm finding it's bleaching my nems.

It's a 250 litre tank so I don't think deep sea glow would work. ‍♂

Please help.
I'll attach the light settings incase you don't know them.

Tank is 2 years old and nems are being fed once a week.
It's affecting all 4 nems and the rest of the tank is thriving.
All parameters are fine.

Any help would be appreciated

@Jago, Turn your light intensity down to 50% max if your thinking its bleaching them, till we figure things out.

What is your water parameters?

How long have you had them and what type of anemones are they?

Size of the tank?

What else is in there with them?

RO/DI water?

Temperature?

Salinity?

G’day! Is this 58w? That light over a 250l tank seems hard to believe that would be to much light for ant type of nem. What are you measuring your nitrate with? If it’s at or below 1ppm but not steady I’d say that could contribute. Your p04 is a little high but I doubt that would be a big issue.

I'm sure it's a 46w but not to sure.
I just know it's a fluval 3.0 marine light.

My testing kit is 1 month old and is a JBL Pro AQUATEST kit.

I'm now giving my nems pellets daily as I've read this might help till they get there colour back ‍‍

the light isn't bright enough for anemone , it's way under powered for a 65 gallon tank . My rbt anemones hang out at the top of the tank in 200 to 400 par .

Sure if your tank is only 12" deep there isn't enough par to grow or keep alive much of anything .

Can you explain please.
The nems was fine for over a year.

Do a search for light requirements for anemones , I believe it's a light issue. A lack of light / par . Anything after 12" down your light has no useful par . I have 160 par on my sand bed at 20" below water surface.
