Apologising in advance if this is a stupid question but still learning marine equipment.

I have a Red Sea reefer 350 I am setting up and love reactors for control but am concerned about space - is there any reason why I cannot use a 3 stage fluidised bed with media in each stage for a reactor ? Photo attached. Appreciate need appropriate media.

thanks for any advice / assistance.

No there isn't any specific reason why you couldn't. That being said, depending what you plan to fill them with and in what order, you will run into issues with ideal flow rates for different media you will be using.

Carbon/gfo/pellets/matrix whatever you use will determine what order you would likely want to put them in to achieve ideal flow rates for each.

Thanks. Was looking to run carbon in one and Nutri fix pellets in the other third as spare (or may just go for 2 stage) fed by Ehium compact 600 pump 200-600lph. Would this work ? Thanks all for the help
