Item was not as described. Seller has two posts on the reactor stating it’s in excellent condition and never used. Both incorrect. Clearly was used as I had to clean it out.

Pump has a tear on the cord near the housing. No way it’s safe to use in water.

PayPal complaint has been filed.

Reason I’m sharing is because it looks like he’s selling a lot of items on the forum lately. Buyer beware.

Yes I can understand how it can be interpreted as brand new. Hope you can get it worked out with seller.

Just to circle back on this, PayPayl OK'd the return...I had only asked for a refund in the amount to cover a new pump, which was reasonable given the product was described as in like new/excellent condition. In the end I kept the reactor and sucked it up to buy a new pump since it would cost me a good amount, that I figured could just go towards the new pump (PayPal doesn't cover shipping costs).

To summarize, PayPal sucks in these events, but if you have a big purchase it's good to know you can get your money back minus shipping costs.

Lesson learned, make sure to ask for condition of cords, magnets, etc and for pics before buying. Felt like this was a pretty deceitful transaction.
