Does anyone have the 30,000 Leagues Lokani? If so, I'd love to see some pics! I'm been trying to find a reasonably priced frag of this from a reputable vendor or fellow hobbyist, but never had any success. I used to have one years ago, and it was one of my favorite corals. I always thought this one was a stunner.

I have, but it is small. Just got it at a frag show about two months ago. Mine is just solid purple, so you know what it looks like, then you can imagine. It is growing well.

I got it from Dyansty Corals if you want to try and find them and order some. I think that the only work off of Facebook - I am not on Facebook, so I have no idea.

This one has really suffered with the new techniques to reefing... used to be quite common and easy, but now it seems to die. I only really see it anymore in old-school style of tanks.

If you can find some Westside Longhorn (Tyree had a LE on this one), it is nice as well and a very good substitute... or just get both. :)

Jda, thanks for the reply. I actually found a 30,000 Leagues Lokani on Ebay tonight, and am supposed to receive it on Thursday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well, I don't usually buy corals on Ebay but the seller was super nice with great feedback. Looking forward to getting it.

I do already have one Lokani in my tank that is doing well, and is turning into a nice little colony. I don't know what kind it is, but it looks very similar to the Westside Longorn that you linked to, but not as dark. However, the new growth that is occuring is darker than the original part of the frag, and the tips are turning dark purplish blue. There is also a blu/purple color rim developing on the outer edge of the base. Maybe if I can figure out how to post pictures, I'll try uploading a pic of it sometime even though I only have an old cell phone camera.

Good. It is a classic that I hate to become so rare. I just found it on eBay... nice price too. Good luck.

If you ever need neon greenish-yellow, the Retina Blaster Lokani is really nice. Any Lokani is nice, IMO.

I picked up a few Tyree 20000k frags from Copps, because he is the only source I know is the real deal. There are maricultured Lokanis that come in from Divers Den occasionally that are a different color, it's a gamble on these as they may be mostly brown/green.

I agree these Lokanis have become rare and hard to find for quite some time.

I have always wanted a 30,000 and 20,000 but they are hard to fine these days.
