Hey guys so im using this plastic bin because it is easier for me to move since i have it in my closet but it is now kind of widening because of the water pressure. I have a smaller bin but its too small n i'm kinda scared tht this may break and A. I will lose all my fish and die and B. The water will leak everywhere including downstairs.

So my question is does anyone have any ideas on how i can mayb fix this or am I worrying for nothing? Idk n need help/ideas if it were to get worse. Thanks

Have a lid? If so, is it Possible to leave the rim of the lid intact and cut out the center of it and still fit your filter?

Or maybe, place inside another of same type bin?

I'd be doing something fairly quick as that's giving quit a bit. Just a matter of time until you have water everywhere.

Thanks n i thought i was worrying for nothing but i will actually try duct tape tonight

I tossed the lid [emoji30]

That type of plastic is a bad idea for use with water. It is very weak.

+1 to all the above replies!

that plastic would be my last choice, it super flimsy, flexi and fragile. the lid, if you had it, would help keep it in shape. Id get something else, and quick. If you dont have another tote handy or dont have ability to get one soon(tonight) preferably rubbermaid or an opaque/more heavy plastic, do you have a cooler?

Im not sure what happened but i started to tape it and idk if there was a small leak somewhere or if it was the filter when it dropped but i freaked out because there was water everywhere n then after reading everyones response i didnt want the whole thing to bust. I had an 18 gal plastic bin n transferred everyone for tonight. I will get a harder 30 gal bin from home depot tom.

Do you guys think the plastic bin from home depot would be better?

Now i dnt have much of a choice but to get something tom. 18 gal is too small for 6 of them for another month. Ahhh opaque is a heavier plastic?! If so ok i will ask for a tht kind of plastic when I get 1 tom. Thanks!!

look for the rubbermaid BRUTE totes. those seem to do well.

thats gonna burst no matter what you do... you need a different tote. or just pickup a used tank for a few bucks and use it.

Holy cow...........umm....
