30 Gallon Lighting Advice?

I'm in the process of setting up a plan of everything I'll need for my 30 gallon tank as well as researching quite a bit before making any purchases to ensure that I know what I'm doing to avoid killing livestock off the bat. What kind of lighting would you recommend? I know lighting will be a major chunk of my budget. Any and all advice welcomed and appreciated! Thanks!

What kind of 30. Standard 36x12x16, 30 breeder 36x18x12, or a 30 cube that is 18x18x18 or 24x24x12
